Punjab Dental Councils Crack Down On Quackery
Punjab Dental Council cracked its whip on quackery by initiating action against unqualified and unregistered persons practicing dentistry. Dr. R.S. Mann President Punjab Dental Council stated that this is for the 1st time that a Team of Senior Dental Doctors were sent to Khanna for on the spot verification of the credentials of the persons involved in the illegal and unauthorized practice. The Team comprising of Dr.Pardeep Sharma, District Dental Health Officer, Ludhiana, Dr. Vikas Jindal, Vice President, Punjab Dental Council and Dr. Rajneet Bains, S.M.O. Dental, Khanna visited Bhatti Dental Clinic, Saniara Bazar, Khanna and caught one Ram Kishore doing illegal dental practice and fined him Rs.500/- with a warning to stop this illegal practice immediately
PDC Stated That Quackery In Dentistry Will Not Be Tolerated
Further Dr. R.S. Mann, President, PDC stated that quackery in Dentistry will not be tolerated and Punjab Dental Council will go in full swing to curb this menace. He said that because of lack of knowledge about sterilization and infection control mechanism, these unqualified / unregistered persons practicing Dentistry is a big cause of concern for spreading life threatening infections like hepatitis and AIDS etc.
Grand Inauguration Of 1st Conference By CM, Punjab
1st Dental Practitioner Conference was inaugurated by H’ble Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal. CM accompanied by Dr. RS Mann, Sh. Chunni Lal Bhagat (Health Research Minister) and Sh. Madan Mohan Mittal (Education Minister) launced Smart Card, Biometric Solution and Web Portal for practitioners. All this IT infra was developed by Veritas Infosolutions. After inauguration, Singer Lakhwinder Wadali entertained by his performance.

Punjab Dental Council will now issue smart card to every practitioner
Punjab Dental Council will now issue smart card to every practitioner with unique ID and Bar code on card. The smart card will be unique at its identity with important information printed on it like Photograph, Sign, Name Address, Email and Mobile no.
Biometric Device checks attendees of events organized by PDC
Biometric Device checks attendees of events organized by PDC and automatically assign CDE point to attendees for that particular event. All the practitioners can check there total/consumed or available CDE points along with events details on the portal. Biometric machine also helps in recognition of practitioner if any comes to PDC office.

PDC Has Developed Online Portal for Dental Practitioners of Punjab
Veritas Infosolution has developed online portal for dental practitioners of Punjab. All the council members will be provided with a secured username and password. This portal will reduce work load on PDC and will add lot of facilities to practitioner. With this Practitioner portal, members of council can manage their profile, make online payments, check remarks, CDE Points details and even upload their photograph to be printed on Smart Card. Practitioners can also download receipts, e-certificate and payment details onto the portal. Now practitioners need not to come to office for renewal of their membership
